2015 Houston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work

|

Around 800 attendees gathered at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston on Oct. 8 for the Houston Business Journal’s 15th annual Best Places to Work Awards. This year, the luncheon had a superhero theme — to celebrate the extraordinary companies that recognize happy employees are a good return on investment.

Our Best Places to Work List is compiled by our partner, Quantum Workplace, who sent a survey to employees of nominated companies and then ranked them by score.

The score is based on employees’ thoughts on their company’s corporate culture, amenities, benefits and worker-retention and attraction strategies. The average score of all the companies on HBJ’s 2015 Best Places to Work List is 85.87, which is slightly higher than the national average of 85.83. The company with the highest score on HBJ’s List is The Loken Group, a residential real estate brokerage, with a score of 99.1.

Congratulations to all the companies that made The Lists, to the leaders who inspire strong cultures and to the employees who make Houston a great place to work.
