Founded in 1955 in Houston, Texas by brothers Bill and Ted Dinerstein, The Dinerstein Companies began as a builder of single-family homes before expanding into townhomes and apartment communities by the mid-1960s.

As one of the nation’s largest developers of multi-family and student housing communities, The Dinerstein Companies has completed over 80,000 multi-family apartments and 50,000 student housing beds in 26 states. TDC is an integrated company specializing in development, construction and property management of the nation’s finest apartment communities with over sixty years in business. Currently TDC has $3.78 Billion in apartment assets under management with a focus on quality, integrity, and sustainability. The company is also one of the leading “green” developers in the country with 28 LEED For Homes certified properties totaling 6,500 units or $1.3 Billion in LEED product.
